Based on more than twenty years of research into Wind Turbine Control Algorithms, MLS Turbine Controllers regulate the response of the turbine against changes in wind, ensuring adequate power control while reducing structural loads.
MLS Control activities cover all areas influencing the design of controllers:
• Turbine dynamic modelling, analysis and identification.
• Controller design and implementation.
• Non-linear control aspects.
• Turbine structural load reduction.
• Pitch actuator activity management.
MLS Wind Turbine Control Design Toolbox (WTCD) is a comprehensive set of tools which will help engineers deal with all tasks relative to control design, controller performance evaluation and load calculations.
The Toolbox was developed by MLS with the intention of providing its customers with an aid for the controller design and evaluation tasks, and as means of transferring MLS Know-How of these tasks. As such, the toolbox contains algorithms to calculate all relevant measures of performance of wind turbine controllers. With these tools, the engineers will not only gain the capability of analyzing and designing controllers, they will also gain an insight into which measures MLS considers critical when evaluating control performance.
“Awesome program”
